Scholarships
The Special Libraries Association offers two scholarships for students pursuing a master's degree in library or information science. There are also two scholarships for students pursuing a Ph.D and one scholarship for post-MLS study. Preference is given to students with a demonstrated interest in special librarianship.
The American Library Association offers more than $300,000 annually for students in ALA-accredited master's degree programs. The scholarship process is open from September through March. The application process is completed online.
The SLIS page lists a number of scholarships available for LSU SLIS students. They are divided into those available for full-time and part-time students. The top of the lists is reserved for those scholarships just for LSU students while the bottom of the list includes the other scholarships listed above.
