Southeast Archives Education Collaborative (SAEC)The School of Library and Information Science at LSU participates in the Southeast Archives Education Collaborative. The SAEC is a collaborative of five university graduate-level library science and public history programs that cooperate in offering archival and records management educational classes across all campuses. The classes are taught through compressed video -- the instructor and one class is at one site and students from the other four universities participate in real-time video and audio for a rich educational experience. With access to SAEC courses, archives management students study under experts in specialties of the archival discipline who are spread out over a large geographical area.
